April 1: DEFINITELY April Fool's Day
APRIL 1: A very frustrating day... started out normally enough, early breakfast with the intention of getting to Munich Airport in time to greet Liz and Aaron. Through an incredible series of snafus -- difficulty finding the train, inability to use credit cards to buy tickets, the train we finally DID take discontinuing service 3 stops into the trip -- we ended up getting to the airport more than 2 hours after their flight arrived. Then spent the next couple of hours circling around trying to find one another. Finally connected and rented a car but didn't have a map and spent probably an extra hour dead-reckoning our way back to downtown Munich... then spent another hour trying to get parking straightened out. The good news... we're all together (finally), we got a good meal at Opatija and had a drink at the beer hall (Aaron had water), everyone is in their room, and hope to get a much fresher, better start tomorrow.
